The Caribe has one of the better beaches in Cancun. It's really wide, has plenty of loungers and palm trees (for cover), and very little seaweed. Our first impressions after a long day travelling were extremely good indeed. We were welcomed into the light and airy reception, our cases. Riu Cancun is more of a party hotel. The Caribe would be a bit more family oriented. The Cancun is closer to shopping and nightlife though.
